Embedding needs a real foreign key between the two tables in the exposed schema. posts.user_id referencing auth.users does not relate posts to public.profiles. Add a foreign key to profiles, then reload the schema cache.

When two foreign keys point at the same table the embed becomes ambiguous (PGRST201). Name the constraint in the select: profiles!posts_author_fkey(*).
