Vercel is building from the repository root, where package.json has no next dependency. Set Root Directory in the project's Build and Deployment settings to the app's folder, for example apps/web, and leave the framework preset on Next.js.

Do not add next to the root package.json to quiet the error: the build then starts and fails to find the app directory. From the CLI, run vercel link at the repository root so the linked project carries the right root directory.
